Social Issues Researcher

Overview

 

Social researchers plan, design, conduct and manage social research projects, reporting on findings in order to shape policy and systems or to examine the effectiveness of existing policy/system.

 

You'll collect, analyze, and evaluate data and information and present your findings to clients and key stakeholders in order to influence policy decisions. This project focuses on GBV and IPV among Black youth (all genders) in Ontario.

Community Engagement Worker - Gender-based Violence & Intimate Partner Violence Intern

Position Objectives:

​

To maximize the reach of the service to Black female youth aged 16-22, including those who do not normally relate to services, especially immigrants and newcomers. To co-ordinate and deliver outreach drops in and workshops in community venues and at community centre location. To assess client needs and provide direct support to Black female youth. To lead on client involvement including training, supervising and

developing both community champions and youth champions to support active outreach. To seek development opportunities for the service in order to address unmet need - creatively finding additional resources and working in partnership.

Overview

Future Black Female creates opportunities for Black/African girls and young women aged 16-22 to develop and thrive as future leaders and social entrepreneurs.

 

An intensive digital literacy internship program to help you develop transferable professional skills.

This opportunity is open to any Future Black Female aged 16 - 22. You will be asked for photo identification to verify your age. Interns receive an honorarium to help pay for their data and internet usage.
