Overview

Future Black Female creates opportunities for Black/African girls and young women aged 16-22 to develop and thrive as future leaders and social entrepreneurs.

 

Call to join the Board of Directors.

Are you interested in empowering Black female youth?
Are you community driven and focused?
Do you have 8-10 hours to volunteer each month?

Do you live in Canada?

If you have a commitment to female empowerment, culturally relevant and responsive advocacy, and gender equality in your professional and personal life, we are looking for you. We invite you to work with us as part of our Board of Directors where we are seeking members from all walks of life. Our voluntary members are the bedrock of our organization and help us move forward in our mission while keeping us focused on our vision. They also stand as role models for the young people we serve. As such, we look for the following qualities in those who take on this responsibility:

  • Flexibility and creativity;

  • People and organizational skills (teamwork, coaching, motivating and mobilizing);

  • Leadership (empathy, integrity, humility, and reflexivity);

  • Passion for female empowerment and gender rights; and

  • Dedication and commitment to social justice.
