Melanin and Manuscript: Black Book Club
A Community for Book Lovers & Emerging Readers
This is a vibrant space where young Black women (16-22) come together to explore literature, engage in meaningful discussions, and build lifelong reading habits.
Whether you're a passionate book lover or just starting your reading journey, this is the perfect space to connect, learn, and grow.
We offer a hybrid experience, allowing members to join discussions in person at a cozy location or virtually from anywhere, making participation flexible and accessible.

What to Expect:
Seasonal Book Selections – Each season, we choose a thought-provoking book centered on Black voices and experiences.
Hybrid Meetings – Join us in person or virtually, making participation easy and engaging.
Leadership Development – Members can lead discussions, strengthen facilitation skills, and gain confidence in public speaking.
A Safe Space for Dialogue – Engage in meaningful, reflective conversations about identity, empowerment, and social change.
Suggest Books You’d Love to Read! – We welcome member recommendations to shape our reading journey together.
How It Works: We select one book per season, but we meet multiple times per season to fully engage with the book!
Spring (March - May)
Summer (June - August)
Autumn (September - November)
Winter (December - February)
