Walkathon Challenge

Future Black Female is excited to invite our Niagara community to the Walkathon Challenge taking place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM along the beautiful waterfront trail in St. Catharines. Rain or shine, we’re coming together to move with purpose, build community, and support opportunities for Black youth.

At Future Black Female, we believe in creating pathways to social, political, and economic opportunities through strong networks, skills advancement programs, and advocacy.

This walkathon is more than just a fitness challenge, it is a chance to invest in empowerment, connection, and collective impact.

Participants can choose their own pace and distance, whether that’s 1KM, 2KM, or 5KM. Whether you are an experienced walker, joining with friends and family, or simply looking for a meaningful way to support the community, everyone is welcome.

Future Black Female, with head offices in St Catharines, Niagara Region, would like to acknowledge the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. Today, the home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples is home to us too. We acknowledge the sacrifices made, forced and freely, by the Indigenous peoples of Canada in the formation of the country we call our home. As we acknowledge their continued contributions and their presence and ours upon this land, we are committed to being responsive to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and to our relationship with Indigenous peoples.
